Taja Dockendorf is the founder and creative director of Pulp+Wire, an award-winning consumer packaging, branding, and digital agency.

With an affinity for design, innovation, and strategic problem-solving, Taja has led her team to produce brands, packaging, and web and digital solutions that are both visually compelling and rooted in functionality and effectiveness.

From her early years focusing in industrial design, turned graphic designer, to creative direction, mixed with entrepreneur and visionary this alchemy has won Pulp+Wire numerous awards for their innovation, brand development, and packaging design, while Taja herself has been recognized as a leader in the industry for her creative and strategic brand building excellence.

With a passion for helping businesses of all sizes succeed, Taja empowers her clients to blaze their own trails from the revitalized brand foundations she helps them build. She is also known for her hands-on leadership and ability to foster a collaborative, driven team culture, which has played a significant role in the company’s success. In addition to leading Pulp+Wire, Taja is the host of the Brand Alchemist Podcast, a weekly podcast that highlights brand owners and their journeys in the CPG space, and a writer on leadership and culture for influential business publications such as Forbes, Entrepreneur and Insider. She is also an investor in emerging brands and technologies.

Taja lives her life to the fullest, whether in her role as founder and director or Pulp+Wire, or her roles as wife and mother to two kids and as an active foster mother. In all aspects of life, she believes in the power of positive energy. She takes pride in her team and what they have accomplished to date. And she is incredibly thankful for her family and the life they have created together, which stretches from the woods of southern Maine in the winter to the waves of Sebago Lake in the summer. Through it all, she remains excited for what’s to come next: the opportunity to keep evolving, learning, and finding new ways to inspire others and build amazing brands that change the world.

Non-profit work and
Board Memberships

Taja served on the board for the Maine Center For Entrepreneurs Cultivator Program and is a 10-year alumni Board member for the Susan Curtis Foundation which helps disadvantaged youth in Maine build leadership skills and break generational roadblocks.  Taja was also the founding member of the Maine chapter for Ladies Wine & Design. A small gathering of creative women who get together monthly to empower each other and support like minds in the field of design and creative expression.

Taja has been launching companies and consulting since the age of 23. In 2004, she founded Pulp+Wire as a unique CPG-focused brand strategy, packaging, and digital launch firm.
